Pastor's Letter | May 21, 2026

We are approaching Memorial Day weekend. As we look back to remember those heroes that gave their lives so that we can live in a free nation, it should cause us to stop and reflect on their sacrifice. I am sure many activities are planned for this weekend. One of my favorites is grilling hamburgers, hot dogs, and sausage, This is one of my favorite Memorial Day traditions.

As we remember those who gave their lives for our freedom, let us also remember the ONE who gave His life to save us from our sins. What an opportunity we have this Sunday to gather with our families and worship the Lord Jesus for His sacrifice on the cross. I am reminded of John 15:13 which says, "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends."

I hope you will make plans to gather with this Sunday as we worship the Lord together. Lord. During our prayer moment, we will pray for those who have lost loved ones while serving our country, and we will pray for God's protection over the men and women currently serving in our military. We will also be celebrating another baptism this Sunday! Only God! So bring your family, invite some friends, and let's gather together this Sunday to worship the Lord!

VBS

Registration is open for participants and volunteers for this summer's VBS! Come be part of Rainforest Falls as we explore the nature of God together. We are excited to teach every child about the Lord.

This year's VBS will take place July 13-16 from 8:30am to 12pm. VBS is open for children finishing Pre-K 3 through finishing the 5th grade. July 13- July 16 from 8:30am to 12pm each day. Our VBS is for ages finishing Pre-K # through finishing 5th grade. We need lots of volunteers to make VBS happen.

Serve Monroe Mission Trip

On August 21-22, we will be serving hurting communities in Monroe, Louisiana alongside local churches and organizations. Projects may include light construction, landscaping, hosting neighborhood block parties and more. If you would like to participate, please sign up through our church wide email called the Weekly that was sent out on Monday. We currently have 15 spots reserved, and I need to know if we should reserve additional spots. We will select our projects on May 29, and we want to place people in areas that best fit their gifts and talents.

Life of Joseph Sermon Series

We only have two more weeks in the life of Joseph series. I want to encourage you to read Genesis 45 before Sunday, as it will be our sermon text. Joseph teaches us some valuable lessons about grace.

I can't wait to worship with you all this Sunday!

With Christ's Love,
